Our Projects

The Junior Auxiliary of Starkville currently has 10 active projects that we help facilitate or facilitate on our own. Some projects, like Backpack Project, are a partnership with a community partner while others, like Pantry Project, are completely ran through our organization. We serve well over 1,000+ children in our community each year and strive to reach children and their families in many different ways by evaluating our projects annually to see how they can better serve the community. Our Mission

The mission of the Junior Auxiliary of Starkville is to defeat the dependencies of basic life needs within the children of our local community. We work to meet these needs through the service of our members and partnering with local community partners to address the needs within the children and their families of our community.

  • Sip & Play for JA

    January 31, 2026

    10 a.m.-2 p.m.

    Join us as the Starkville Country Club for a Mahjong Tournament! This event serves as our primary fundraiser for the year and will include a Mahj tournament, silent auction, raffles, give-aways, and more!

  • Safety Town

    March 5 & 6, 2026

    Our members will be hosting our annual project, Safety Town, for children in the community to come learn about community helpers, community safety, and more!

Once again, the Starkville community stepped up for the kids and made our annual Stuff the Bus event a HUGE success!! Not only were we able to deliver supplies to schools in the Starkville and Oktibbeha County Consolidated School District, but also to the J.L. King Community Center and T.K. Martin Center…and that’s thanks to you! Thank you also to the community partners and local businesses that assisted in making this event a continued a success. We hope all of the kids and teachers have an incredible school year!
